What do we deal with?

Health and Safety

Mandates are in place for a reason: they keep your employees safe and productive while on the job.

But there are a lot of rules, and ensuring your business is fully up-to-code is a full time job.

Employment Standards + Bill 148

The Employment Standards Act was huge. Then, in 2018, it got bigger and more complicated with the introduction of Bill 148.

Plus, the government of Ontario hired 175 new enforcement agents to hand out citations for any mistakes made—without any leniency.

Labour Law Protection

A new generation of hungry labour lawyers and a range of 1-800-LOST-JOB postings are emerging and convincing employees to go after employers for infractions both real and imagined.

These lawsuits eat up a lot of resources and are tough to win unless dealt with proactively.

Employee Relations + Conflict Resolution

Canada is making strides to combat toxic working environments; in 2018, the reported cases of harrasment doubled from the year before.

This is empowering more people to feel comfortable at work, but it also means employers can’t ignore issues, and must be prepared to deal with them appropriately as they arise.

What's at stake?

Productivity drops when employees are unsure about their safety.

Businesses don’t grow when owners spend too much time worrying about HR issues.

Ministry of Labour fines—ranging from $300–$50,000—can put a dent into cash flows.

Infractions can lead to plant shutdowns, drastically affecting supply levels, revenues, and relationships with buyers.

And the list goes on.

How does the program work?

We perform an on-site HR audit to figure out where you could use some help.

We set you up with emi, our free employee management interface to help us (and you) get organized.

We develop an “HR Action Plan,” outlining your path to compliance.

We’ll put the plan in motion, starting with the basics—things like health & safety postings, employee manuals, and other mandatory policies.

We’ll extend our efforts based on your industry-specific needs, ensuring we check off all the more-nuanced “compliance boxes.”

As a reminder: we do all of this at no cost to you!

What are our clients saying?

eclipse EIO has been helping us develop and implement Human Resource programs for years now and have found them very easy to work with. We also just underwent a surprise Ministry of Labour inspection and the inspector herself mentioned that our HR firm was doing a great job (and we received no orders).

eclipse gives me peace of mind, and I’d recommend them to anyone.

Hemant Tallur,
Eat-In-Foods

eclipse EIO is truly a gift; I’m very grateful to have found a service that makes me an employer of choice.

As a service-based company, Health & Safety is always a risk to my employees and I. eclipse has given me peace of mind knowing my people are safe and my business is protected. Plus, they’ve helped with things ranging from employee manuals to disciplinary procedures.

Thanks again, eclipse!

David Koziel,
Northern Alarm Protection

As a small company we really need someone with expertise who can help us understand certain procedures and make sure we’re following all the proper rules. eclipse EIO has done just that, making us very happy in the process!
